Week 3 (Module 3): Belief in Allah, Malaikah, Kitab

Madam Asmiza as our facilitator started Usrah with an issue:

Why do people always make mistakes ? While they know that Allah is all-seeing and all-knowing. They are also aware of the existence of Hell and Heaven.

Most of the member participated to give their best answer. Among all answers are:

  1. Humans are forgetful (Tasneem)
  2. When humans make mistakes, they tend to forget that Allah is all-seeing (Zulnajwa)
  3. Humans are negligent (Syafiqah)
  4. Human beings make that mistake naturally. That is the reason why we have we have to repent. (Aliah)
  5. Sometimes they do not know what they are doing is sinful until there is someone who reprimand them. Just like in Surah Al Asr, "urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance." (Nabilah)
Madam Asmiza explained to us that it is human nature to make mistakes. Arabic word for human being is ‘insan’ which is derived from the word ‘nasiya’ which means ‘to forget.’ That is why we have to always read surah Al Asr to beg that we do not forget our real responsibilities .We need to always reflect on ourselves and reflect back on what we have done every day. We have to believe that Allah SWT exists and that He always observe us. If we think like that, we will always think twice before doing anything. Believing in the existence of Allah is an obligation and that what makes us a true 'mukmin'.

Second issue from one of the member of Usrah:

How to believe in Malaikat (Angels) and the Al Quran? If we believe in Allah, there are three things. First, believe with the heart, Second, confess with the tongue and third, do with deeds. So what about believing in Malaikat(angels) and the AlQuran?

The answers:

Believing in the Al Quran is that we believe that Al Quran itself comes from Allah, does not doubt its contents, follow what Allah commands.

Believing in Malaikat (Angels),we have to believe that there are Malaikat (Angels), there are Raqib and Atid who record our deeds & all Malaikat (angels) never disobey Allah's command.

Summary

From Naqibah Zulnajwa:

Many people find it difficult to devout in performing salah but if we understand the meaning of recitation in our salah, we can be achieve quality salah. Second, believing in Malaikat (angels)  and the Al Qur'an. If we really want to achieve the pleasure of Allah, we have to work, and jihad.

From Madam Asmiza:

We as Muslims, we must believe that Allah and Malaikat (angels) are exist, we all  will die one day and heaven and hell are also exists. The books of Allah especially Al-Quran are the real guide and if we understand and practice what Allah command us, we will always be on the right path .We can't deny that we will always make mistakes and sins because our faith are not always on the highest level. Hence, every day we must strive to improve ourselves to become better Muslims and also believers who are highly regarded by Allah SWT.
